Conductive Ink Research
I spearheaded the Pen-on-Paper Electronics project at the University of Illinois in 2010. Paper has become a popular material for circuit boards because it is low-cost, lightweight, and can be rolled and folded into unique shapes. However, standard printing techniques (like roll-to-roll) are still cumbersome and expensive. What if the circuit fabrication approach was ubiquitous as paper, itself?
Circuit Scribe Kickstarter Campaign
My team launched a Kickstarter campaign for Circuit Scribe in fall of 2013, and we were successfully funded on Jan 1, 2014. The campaign reached its goal within 3 days, ultimately earning over $650,000 with the support of over 12,000 backers.
Innovative curriculum
I designed creative project-based STEM lessons for Autodesk's Project Ignite platform and as exclusive Circuit Scribe content. Topics range from figuring out what materials around you are conductive, to how to use an NPN transistor as a physical touch sensor and amplifier.
analisa russo ceramics
I make hand built and wheel thrown stoneware pottery at a studio based in Watertown, MA.
My inspirations include vintage food Christmas ornaments, national park posters, art deco design, and the clay and glaze materials themselves.
